Meet Mat Assignment

For this assignment, I themed the character around the game Lethal Company. Lethal Company is a co-op multiplayer game where the player travels to different moons to gather items to sell to The Company to meet profit quota. I textured MeetMat to look like The Employee, who is the player character.

I utilized a lot of layers to create the body. The main orange color is a gradient made with a generator. The leather gloves, boots, and belts are each separate layers with varying heights. I used a mask and the poly fill tool to create the belt around the waist to ensure that it is a smooth line. I then erased a few parts of it to make it look like the belt is a part of the outfit. The head and bottom are both metal materials that I made.

Here is a video of a game that I made for my FIEA submission!

I created the models for all the characters in Blender and I also created the environment. I used Clip Studio Paint to make alphas and colors for the leaves, Blender for the models (its just a bunch of flat planes), then created a material for them in an Unreal Blueprint. I used Mixamo for the character animations since I didn't have time to animate every character (The dog you can pet, however, is rigged and animated in Blender). The game is made in Unreal Engine 5 and used blueprints to create the gameplay.

This is the player character. She has a poly count of around 7,000. I keep the poly count as low as possible so that the engine has less polys to render, ensuring that the game can run smoother.
